Organisation & scope
Global is the Dataverse default (root) business unit — exactly one. A region is a child business unit of the root. A country is a team owned by a region, not a business unit. Platform 1 pushes a project into a region and then assigns it to a country team so access is separated by country. A user has exactly one business unit; cross-region working is granted by team membership in the second region.
Not yet decided by SECO: Region set confirmed with the client on 1–2 September 2026 as Americas, North West Europe, South East Europe and APAC. It still has to be validated against Dynamics 365, which masters the hierarchy. SECO to validate the four regions against the CRM.
